According to the nationwide building society house prices have continued to rise in the U.K.The average house has gone up in value in November 2009 by 0.5% to £162,764.00.

Toilet mystery on Cathay Pacific flights to Hong Kong

Cathay Pacific claims it's fleet of airbus planes have been hit my mysterious blockages in the toilets.The problem is so serious that one flight from Riyadh to Hong Kong had to stop in the Indian city of mumbai after the crew discovered that none of the ten toilets were working.Some flights had to reduce some passengers because of the toilet problems.Carolyn Leung spokeswoman for the airline is saying that although the cause for the blockages is unclear but passengers themselves may partly be at blame.There have been numerous foreign objects found in the pipes,and when one toilet is blocked this will affect all the toilets on the same side.

Drugs death woman's mother makes public appeal

Kate Shanks of Elgin has made a fresh appeal to the public to help catch drug dealers after her daughter Suzanne 30 was foud dead earlier this year.Suzannes father Gordon foud his daughter in her flat in Culloden.Mrs Shanks said "drugs only lead to misery and heartache".Last moth a survey by Glasgow university discovered that the number of injecting drug users was on the increase.According to Mrs Shanks there are about 55,000 drug users in Scotland and that her daughter had become a full blown addict at the age of 19,having experimented with other drugs previous to that.

A petrol station manager in Northampshire has to keep jars of marmite hidden after jars were repeatedly stolen from the shell garage.Jim Keary had to move the stock after £50 of stock dissapeared.he said depending on what happens the petrol station may put it back on the shelves.

US President Obama hosts summit with Indian PM Singh

US President Barack Obama has called Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh a fitting leader to be the first state visitor of his presidency.Obama stated that India was an important global power.The talks are going include Afghanistan,trade,climate change and nuclear energy deal signed sealed and delivered by the Bush administration.India India hopes the talks will see the finalisation of the civilian nuclear deal with the US.Last year India and the U.S. Signed a civilian nuclear deal to end 34 years of American sanctions.

Delhi gains access to US civilian nuclear technology and fuel in return for inspections of its civilian, but not military, nuclear facilities.

HBOS and RBS received secret bank rescue loans

The bank of England has just revealed that it lent RBS AND HBOS £61.6 billion in autumn 2008.Bank governor Mervyn King stated that the money was repaid in full in Jan 2009.In his parliamentary testimony Mr King was also asked whether the UK was at risk of a credit downgrade. "I don't think there's any immediate risk, but the longer there isn't a credible plan that sets out what action will be taken [on reducing the deficit], the more that is a risk," he replied.

Italian police arrest Mumbai attack suspects

Two Pakistanis have been arrested in the northern city of Brescia in Italy.The father and son were accused of supplying cash from their money transfer agency to pay for a phone account linking people to the attackers.More than 170 people died on the attacks in Mumbai last year.Mohammad Yaqub Janjua,60 and his son Aamer Yaqub Janjua, 31,were identified from leads from the Indian Intelligence Bureau and the F.B.I.

Charge in mutilation murder case

A 28 year old mother of two Geeta Aulakh was found with her hand cut off in Greenford,West London.Police believe that Geeta was attacked after leaving Sunrise radio studio.Sher Singh 18 year old will appear at Ealing magistrates court on Monday 23 November 2009.

An autopsy report has proved that Mrs Aulakh had died from head injuries.Eleven other suspects are currently on bail.

China "steps up U.S. cyber spying"

Chinease spies are stealing American secrets to build up it's countries economic and military power.Colonel Gary Mcalum a senior military officer told the security review commision that the American defense department had detected 54,640 malicious cyber incidents.A rise of 20% from the previous year,the figure is estimated to increase to 60% this year.The report said that all the attacks were not from China but a very large majority was.The report also stated that China was building a navy that would block the U.S. reaching the area if a war broke out between China and Taiwan

The Royal navy's biggest and more powerfull submarine will arrive at Faslane today.H.M.S. Astute can be armed woth 38 torpedoes and missiles.The vessel built nby B.A.E. will go into service in 2010.This nuclear submarine will be able to travel the whole globe underwater and nuclear technology means that it will never ever neen refuelling.

Owner's ban for dog junk diet

John Green from cheshire in England pleaded guilty to causing suffering to his eight year lod dog called Barney on the 19th of November this year.The court heard that the dog weighed twice it's weight from 35kg to 70kg.Barney who has been re-homed by the R.S.P.C.A. now weighs 40kg.Barney a dalmation was fed a junk food diet of crisps and chocolate.Green was ordered to carry out unpaid work for 200 hours.

prison officer strike spreads

Hundreds of officers are outside H.M.P. Liverpool on their second day on an unofficial strike.Numerous officers from Risley prison near Warrington,Lancaster Farms,Lancaster castle and Verne prison have joined them.The prison service has said it is "wrong and unsafe".A prison spokesman says "this action relates to an ongoing investigation within the prison".This strike is about the bullying and harassment by senior management at liverpool prison.It is understood that staff who were already booked for duty continued to work during the walkout.

DNA hope in 1981 baby death case

C.I.D have made a breakthrough using D.N.A evidence on a new born baby found dead on a beach in Weymouth 28 years ago.forensic scientists have made up a profile of the baby girl and the person most likely to be her mother.According to the search on the national database there is no match to the four million people on the actual database.

The baby was found by three men with metal detectors on 15/10/81.Detectives are looking for a male who made contact with police around August 2009.The police in Jersey or Dorset are asking the man to contact them again,so that forensic evidence can eliminate people from their investigations
